CERTIFICATIONS

It is part of ethos to follow ethical practices and safe environmental production standards. Keeping this in mind we have worked and achieved certification from several respected organizations for their advice and guidelines and to independently audit and certify our credibility. Here are just a few of them….

The Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) Code –
They are a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring the improvement of working conditions and labor practices in our manufacturing process. The code of conduct is based on international guidelines developed but the ILO, UN etc. We have been audited against this code and certified.

Oeko Tex Association –
They provide assurance that no harmful substances or dyes are used in any stage of our production processes. We hold the Oeko-Tex 100 standard certification, but also the highest classification of Class 1, that covers the safety of Baby wear.

Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified by Control Union –
This standards guarantees that the status of our production of garments made from organic cotton is maintained at every stage of the value chain till its storage and dispatch.

Bio Inspecta –
The provide independent auditing and certification to the organic cotton that we procure and the process right from spinning to garmenting.

Code of Conduct

Policy

1) Child Labor

Management will verify the ages of worker being employed and no person below the age of 18 years will be employed.

2) Forced Labor

No employees will be forced to work against the prevailing law.

3) Discrimination

No discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, religion or gender will be tolerated against any employee of Sunflag.

4) Harassment

All employees will be treated fairly and humanely without any bias and prejudice.

5) Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining

All employees will have freedom of association

6) Compensation and Benefits

All employees will be paid as per the law of the land and the agreement with the workers union.

7) Labor hours

All employees will be required to work as per the prevailing law and the agreement with the union.

8) Migrant Workers

No migrant workers will be employed by the company in any circumstance.

9) Work Place environment (Health& Safety)

The management will strive to provide a safe, clean and healthy working environment for its entire employee keeping in mind the safety of its employees and also within the requirements outlined by law of the land.
